Date: Friday, March 30

Time: 11am - 7pm (tentatively and including speakers and awards)

Location: East Lansing, MI (Communication Arts and Sciences Building)

Conference Format: The conference consists of poster and oral presentations, with keynote speakers and graduate-centered workshops throughout the day.  Each poster and oral presentation session will last approximately one hour.  The day concludes with an awards presentation.  Students are encouraged to attend speakers, workshops, and additional presentations outside of their own presentation, but this is not required.  Students who cannot attend the awards ceremony will be notified via email.

Type of Presentations:

     -Poster Sessions and Oral Presentations (15 min. per oral presentation)

     -Both individual and group submissions welcome

Evaluation: Poster and oral presentations will be judged on the student's ability to translate what might be highly technical language into a description that is easily understood by members of the general public who may be less familiar with their research area.

Prizes: Monetary awards will be given to top student presentations, with award amounts determined closer to the conference date.  Awards have typically been between $200-$450 per winner.
